Fans Take Action Against Conrad Murray’s Outrageous Documentary!

Even though the trial of Conrad Murray is over, and ended with a victory for Michael Jackson, his children, his family, and his fans, Murray has immediate plans to PROFIT from his crime, through a documentary. Fans, and anyone concerned with justice, must unite to stop what we feel is an atrocity about to be committed. Murray was found guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter on November 7, 2011, and was immediately remanded to jail with no bail, as he awaits sentencing on November 29, 2011. The verdict was unanimous by a jury of his peers, but Murray now expects financial gain from the killing of Michael Jackson – a human-being loved by millions. This week, NBC Universal is releasing the documentary — “Michael Jackson and the Doctor—A Fatal Friendship.” Murray did not testify on his own behalf, and was not subject to cross-examination on the witness stand. But now, his documentary will no doubt paint him as the helpless and innocent victim and Michael somehow as the guilty party. California has no Son of Sam law, preventing a convicted criminal from profiting from his crime. Murray will be making money from this crime, even as he languishes in jail awaiting sentencing.

It is the position of M.J.A.N. that the airing of this documentary is an extreme violation of media integrity. Now is the time for action, and to spread the word about what we feel will no doubt be further abuse of Michael Jackson. It was Conrad Murray judged to be guilty — not Michael Jackson.

We urge Michael’s family to speak out in the strongest terms, against this terrible violation to Michael’s dignity. We also hope that the Executors of Michael Jackson’s Estate will speak out firmly. It is Michael’s children who will suffer the most from what appears to be an outrageous and one-sided smear attempt. Michael Jackson was judged to have been killed by his doctor, and now is the time to focus on Michael’s amazing artistry, his humanitarian good-works, and the music he left behind, as a sound track for so many lives.

We urge fans to be proactive, and write and tweet and email and call, about their concerns about this documentary made by a convicted killer!

Fan-action must be swift. The documentary is scheduled to air on Friday, November 11, 2011, to be repeated on Sunday, November 13, both airings on MSNBC.

To be effective, fans must have a united voice in boycotting MSNBC and its advertisers, and they must speak IMMEDIATELY, through letters, FAXES, emails, phone calls, and tweets.

There is little or no justice for Michael Jackson if his killer is allowed to profit!

  1. I support this 100%!!! Immediately after Murray is convicted as guilty of taking the life of Michael Jackson, we are hearing he is also going to be what, a TV star??? NBC teamed with this so called “doctor” to profit from the tragic death of Michael Jackson with no moral reflection whatsoever. During his life, Michael constantly had to face unjust attacks of media, as well as numerous betrayals from the side of the people that were supposed to be close to him. Now that he cannot speak for himself, continuing this trend seems simply cruel. I am disgusted at NBC and I believe the fans should take action.

  2. This is an outrage. The man has already taken away the most precious man in the world and now he wants to make money off of it. I demand a boycott on any network or company affliated with any network who aires this despicable, vindictive, and vile documentary.

  3. Conrad Murray shouldn’t be able to profit from his victim’s death, he is a convicted felon now. And shame on NBC for airing this “documentary”. Michael, his kids and his fans deserve better. Michael is not here to defend himself, so now the fans and his family have to step up and protect him and his legacy. Conrad Murray didn’t use his right to testify because then he would have had to answer serious questions. Instead he sold his story, like Michael said: anything for money. Everyone should boycott these stations that are showing this so called documentary. Conrad Murray is a coward, he wasn’t Michael’s friend like he claimed to be. He used him like so many others did in the past.

Money … lie for it (Conrad Murray), spy for it (Conrad Murray), kill for it (Conrad Murray), die for it … anything for money!

  4. It is a disgrace that Conrad Murray is able to cash in on the death of a man who died from Murrays actions. He only has to serve four years or less. Is that the price he was willing to play in exchange for this documentary and the money he makes from it?

And why was his contract for this doc signed in May 2009? Did Murray know something the rest of the world would learn on June 25 2009?

I will boycott any channel that airs this documentary, and I will boycott all brands that advertise around it. This is a very serious matter, and I refuse to stand by and let it just happen.

  5. I am planning to boycott this documentary and MSNBC in general after this point, as I want nothing to do with a media company that thinks it fit and proper to air a documentary sympathizing with a killer. I will also boycott any brand which chooses to pledge their allegiance to MSNBC during the airing of this documentary, and I as a consumer have the power and right to do this.

I am hoping my boycott will serve as an example and a message to these entities that it is not in any way acceptable to profit off the death of another, whether directly as Conrad Murray has doubtlessly done, or indirectly as MSNBC, sponsors (and, undoubtedly, his lawyers) will be doing upon its airing (that is, if it is not pulled off the air beforehand).

It will be an utter shame and a disgrace for the principle of justice and human ethics if this documentary is permitted to air on Friday, November 11, or at any point in time. Furthermore, it is chilling to observe what little regard not only the doctor but the companies and entities behind this production have shown to the loss of human life. This is not any more acceptable because the target is Michael Jackson–regardless of what one may think of him, he had children, a mother, a father, and siblings….a family–and it is a slap in their collective face to be airing something as heinous as this, especially considering Murray was found guilty by a jury of his peers after being given a fair trial.

  6. Conrad Murray is a despicable human being Not only did he kill Michael Jackson but now he gets to cash in on it to…oh hell no!! I fully agree with the actions being taken here by M.J.A.N. W.A.T.C.H, You have to stop and ask yourself 1 question WHY would Murray sign a contract in May and start filming a documentary if he didn’t know that MJ was gonna die, This documentary HAS to be stopped.. Nothing can bring Michael back,,,but by not showing this documentary it can save his children maybe a little less pain ..after all THEY are his greatest legacy ever. I will NOT be tuning in for this documentary and I will boycott it all the way,

  7. To think such a documentary would air (or even be FILMED) sickens me to the core. Since when is it okay for a “Doctor” to participate in a film regarding his PATIENT? And how sick is it that NBC would choose to not only air this, but pay a man facing a trial for the DEATH OF ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. No one deserves the injustice Michael Jackson faced on a daily basis, and clearly, CONTINUES to face! Why continue to victimize the victim?

  8. As Ms Santiagi says why victimize the victim? This documentary should never have been made. Televising something like this and allowing a killer to profit from his crime should be outlawed.
