MJAN Calls for an End to Diversion Tactics

MJAN Calls for an End to Diversion Tactics

We at MJAN call for an end to diversions, and for a return of attention by media, fans, and Michael Jackson’s family, to what is really important – a focus on Michael’s unsolved homicide. According to the charges brought against Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, Michael lost his life at the hands of another. No one has yet been brought to justice for Michael’s death. In many ways the plot seems to have been lost amidst confusion about the authenticity of some songs on the upcoming album, Michael, and in the apparent chaos of his mother’s income-generating schemes, in-fighting among family members, interviews, and combative blurbs on social networking sites. What has been lost in all the digressive chatter, is the fact that justice for Michael remains to be served.

Randy Jackson, Michael’s brother, conducted a Twitter interview with Michael’s fans On Nov. 17. It is not clear why he would turn to social media and conversations with strangers, to voice his concerns? (Those are not his fans anyway, but those of his deceased brother.} Regardless, he spoke about a rift between the Jackson family and the estate executors, John Branca and John McClain. If there are issues with the executors of the estate, should that not be a matter for the courts? in response to a question about a possible conspiracy in his brother’s death, Randy simply tweeted, “This story has not ended, things are still unfolding.” If the family members have concerns about the way in which Michael died, why are they not outraged and calling for justice, instead of chatting online with fans about a variety of topics?

That Michael Jackson’s mother and children were interviewed by Oprah Winfrey displays questionable judgment and raises concerns about the emotional safety of Michael’s children. Leaked music has generated controversy about the authenticity of at least some of the songs on Michael’s upcoming album. Is this Michael we are hearing, or an imposter? The controversy has been so intense, that one may wonder if this could be an attempt to sabotage the album? Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, has entered into a dubious contractual agreement with Howard Mann, about the marketing of her son’s products and the possible exploitation of his children for her own financial gain. Michael’s siblings and extended family are engaging in tweet-wars as they complain publicly about one-another and about songs on the album, instead of using the court-system to file complaints. All of this chaotic chatter is digressive of what should be the most important issue at hand – justice for Michael.

One would expect that the family would be vocal for justice, instead of quarreling with one-another, tweeting to Michael’s fans, and conducting interviews for pay. One also would expect that the fans would be in support of justice for Michael, as a primary focus. We at MJAN are calling for a return to rationality, and even passion, as we ask all who care about Michael Jackson to rededicate themselves to seeking justice for a man who gave the world so much, in his artistry, courage, and character. Enough is enough, of quarreling and diversions, when there is a larger issue at stake.

  1. I have to agree, the time for the Jackson family to point fingers has to stop. If they have REAL information (that be regarding the album or the criminal trial) then they need to stop tweeting about it and fix it through the courts.
The association between Katherine and Howard Mann is extremely alarming and needs to stop. If the Jackson family wants OUR support in upcomming projects, playing around with someone with such questionable reputation won’t do the trick.

We are fans of Michael Jackson and above all demand justice for HIM and respect for his beloved children, we’re not here to line the pockets of anybody, not Sony, not the Jacksons.

  2. At a time when the Jackson Family should be coming together to seek justice for Michael, it seems as if the mentality of ‘to each his own’ is prevailing. Please put aside personal agendas and unite with Michael’s friends, colleagues, and fans to bring Conrad Murray to justice. In the midst of all the confusion and chaos the Twitter-Thons are creating what’s TRULY important is being LOST. That being justice, MJ3 and our beloved Michael.
That being said how much money is made or not made ISN’T important.
    Peace and Love!

  3. Well said. I support this 100%. Something needs to be done. Certain people needs to stop with their social media game and start to ACT instead. This is beyond everything I have ever witnessed. Someone needs to do something!

  4. I feel bad for Michael’s children. This Jackson family are all leeChes..their motivation is money period. Thats not the forum to air one’s side..you go to court. They don’t have the slightest credibility. Most like La Toya, Jermaine, Randy etc. are hanger ons. What have they done in their lives for 20 to 30 years..their jobs etc. Look, Michael left his estate to these people..in his lifetime he ddidnt want his brothers/ family involved given thier leeching attitudes. Get a life! The estate are for his children..whatever the estate brings out..let them answer to the fans and not by you..GET YOUR CHILDREN OUT OF YOUR MOTHER’S /MICHAEL HOUSE AS WELL AS YOU AND JERMAINE’S EX-GIRLFRIEND. BE A MAN AND PROVIDE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND NOT MICHAEL ESTATE PROVIDING! SHUT UP!

  5. I support this effort completely. I find it completely appalling that the priorities of the Estate and the Jackson family is focused either on money or so-called musical legacy (which needs no defending). A beloved human being is gone at the hands of a physician, and there is more passion displayed about an upcoming album than Justice for Michael.
As others have mentioned, if the Jackson family has proof of their case they should take it to the courts for resolution. And I find it quite disturbing that the recent controversies surrounding “Breaking News” is yet another example of incompetence (This Is It fiasco) by those in charge.
I wish this division, confusion, and utter chaos could be avoided. Those of us that loves Michael don’t really need another song, or another album, we need the TRUTH. What we want is the TRUTH and JUSTICE for Michael. It would be nice to have that be the priority of the Jackson Family and the Estate of Michael Joseph Jackson.

  6. *Applauds this blog!* I really can’t comprehend the Jackson family. I was horrified when I found out Katherine allowed Oprah an interview with the children. How dare she?! i fear for their future in the hands of the Jackson family. Michael would never have done this. I just wish the Jackson family would put themselves in Michael’s shoes and ask themselves how he would have dealt with matters regarding the MJ3.

They have repeatedly thrown Michael under a bus for publicity and have helped Murray’s defense by continuing to spout about Michael’s “drug addiction”. Do they not see the damage they’re doing? The fans are seeking justice for Michael, some have spent hours doing their own investigations, yet his own family are preventing this from happening! No doubt they will be shouting their disgust from the rooftops when Murray walks free but it will be partly their fault.

It all makes me very sad. 😦

  7. Well written MJAN. Thank you for all of your hard work and time. I’m one of you, who is disappointed to see the Jackson family is not interested in finding justice for Michael. No one talking about the case anymore. So many distractions to divert fans. Michael deserves justice.

  8. I support it 100%. I wish they stopped exploiting Michael’s children. I want Justice for Michael.

  9. If I was killed in the hands of another, I know my family would be united in a relentless hunt and pursue of justice. How people can think of Michael Jackson “now he’s gone, let’s cash on his name while the iron is hot” is totally beyond me, especially when the people in question are his own flesh and blood.
People have the indisputable right to privacy, let alone a celebrity’s minor children who should and could have been kept away from the spotlight, just as their father wisely wished.
There is more to life than just money.
Ethical and moral values are priceless and at the end of the day we will all be held accountable to the next generations for downgrading and trivializing life to a mere “business” journey.

Thank you MJAN team for eloquently voicing the concerns of every rational and responsible individual.

  10. Thank you!!
    I support you 100%

  11. Behind this 100%. Truly, nearly all attention has been shifted to the upcoming album, almost completely ignoring what has been happening publicly with the family, as well as internally with the upcoming trial. At the end of the day, what matters to me most (and should with all other fans) is the fact that Michael is gone, and NO ONE has yet been punished at any degree for his homicide. To the Jackson family, instead of saying, “wait till the truth comes out” on Twitter, I truly hope you have substance behind those words and present them well in your lawsuit. Michael needs your help right now…please focus your time and energy on HIM.

  12. I agree fully with this. The attention has been taken off of Michael’s death and has been put on the upcoming album. We the fans have sat back and watched members of Michael;s own family through him under the bus with their drug related speeches about Michael. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH PEOPLE. Get on the ball Jackson’s and make a difference in the lies that are being told about him..he is NOT here to defend himself anymore. WE the fans are more his voice now that his own family is obviously….they cannot seem to get their story straight….atleast the truth anyway. The REAL murderers need to be brought to justice…Michael needs our voices now more than ever.

  13. The family will never stand as a united front .. why some may ask? It’s because they never got him, they don’t have the love he had, this family is all about money and fame. They will use his name however they can to make money and to be “relevant”. Katherine and the rest of the family should unite with the fans, with those who seek justice but no, they are too worried about making money and cashing in. They couldn’t care less about justice. When Michael’s kids are old enough to understand that they will be in shock. This family is unable to get its act together and this is why the fans need to unite and demand justice, we can’t wait for it to happen, we need to demand it. We need to draw attention to the trial, to Murray still having his lisence, to IM charges when murder 2 would be more appropriate. Michael’s own family is working against getting justice for him … I’m sad and disgusted.

  14. “One would expect that the family would be vocal for justice, instead of quarreling with one-another, tweeting to Michael’s fans, and conducting interviews for pay”.

That family should all be hanging their heads in shame. Their behaviour to date has been truly deplorable. There is time yet for the Jackson family to put their greed, self promotion and utter selfishness aside for once and fight with ALL OF US for justice for their son, brother and uncle. Give us fans something to respect you for, Jacksons.

  15. ITA, I couldn’t agree more, I wish at least half of the energy spent on these diversions was spent on what is the most important, and that is finding out what happened to Michael. The songs will be here forever and people can listen and debate about them for years to come if they want, but Michael is NOT here and the chance to do something about finding out why and getting justice is now.

  16. Fred Goldman may have been super annoying but every time he got in front of a camera, he made sure to say OJ Simpson over and over again. He never wavered in his anger and whether you feel OJ was guilty or innocent is not the point. The point is, Fred Goldman believed he was guilty and he took every opportunity to tell the world just that. The point of this to the Jackson story is, where is Michael Jackson’s impassioned defense from his loved ones. Where is their anger, their outrage for their loved one? Is it hidden behind some misguided notion of presenting a strong family image to the public, one that frankly has long since been debunked anyway? Is it the need for money and fame? The thought that its our time to shine and while I hate what happened to my son, brother, uncle, cousin, etc, I;m going to get out there and make a name for myself?
All of this happens while Michael’s name is continually degraded and his wishes ignored. His children used as cash cows and his death and the DOCTOR charged with his HOMICIDE virtually ignored and forgotten. We as the fan community will never forget Michael and we will never stop fighting for justice and his good name. Can those persons who purport to love him more than we please do the same?

  17. I absolutely support that. It seems like some people are almost relieved that Michael is not there anymore – that is the message we, as fans, are receiving from the decisions that the family is making, decisions that would NEVER be taken Michael. Michael is no longer here to protect his children and his own legacy. Everyday we are hearing of somebody quarrelling and fighting and NEVER this is for the benefit of Michael and his children.

Things should get on track, JUSTICE should be done.

  18. Support this statement 100% The family and some fans actions since Michael died have been deplorable!
Justice for Michael is the main priority, the fight to clear his name and the importance of spreading his messages of Love and Healing the World should be the ONLY priorities.

  19. This radical departure from unity is increasingly worrying. Those who count in justice not being served don’t really have to do anything besides sit back and let division, irrationality in public statements, lack of responsibility and money hunger take over.
The rest will take care of itself.
Once again the fans are called to take the leap to bypass these diversion tactics and focus on getting justice for Michael and his children.
Michael gave his life to highlight the importance of human values. It’s the least we can do for him.

  20. I support this 100%! Thanks!
It’s time to unite for justice… and for the family to stop talking around what obviously nobody knows for certain!

  21. Since the Jackson family is so fractured and broken, it is reassuring to see that Michael did find true family. With his own children and in the Cascio’s. God Bless them for giving Michael some “normal!”

  22. Well said! I have wondered about some of the family members for years, but was sure that they would stand for Michael , but that is not the case most of the times.
Michael picked Branca dn Mcclain for a reason I feel. I think sometimes the Jacksons are so busy trying to overturn MJ’s will and get control they are doing everything including painting Michael in a bad light to get the money.
I know some of them love him, but some actions are making people wonder at best.
Then to allow Oprah a woman who has made her comtempt for MJ clear to come into the house and speak to his kids, while promting a book was low. I’m sorry, but I question this family and alot of their actions.
However out of love for Michael and his kids I will stand for I know he is not the lost soul some have painted. Aned if you listen to Michael’s interviews he tells alot. Just lisaten and you’ll get alot of the answers.

  23. Ok, I’m gonna say it the Jackson’s have snake lawyers and because they want money they are willing to go along with lies about Michael to get it. Oxman for example, who Michael fired and refused to let handle his 2005 case. I wonder why? Could it be that Oxman has agendas?
The wrongful death case was thrown out once before. The family has gone against the medical and forensics hoping to get money. If they had decent lawyers, he/she would have told them that should the will be over turned the children become the sole benefiaries.
The more I watch this greedy family and their tactics the more I undertsand why Michael distanced himself. It wasn’t MJ with the problem. It’s the leeches and hanger ons and I hate to say this Katherine of all people should be putting her foot down instead of babying her grown male children at the expense of Michael’s kids.
If this doesn’t stop and I feel it’s to late when those kids find out the truth of what this family has done to get their father’s money (which they never will) —brass yourselves.
My only concern is his children.

  24. Enough of the bashing, on Michael Jacksons family. That shouldn’t be involve, in any of these blogs. These blogs, should just be for justice for Michael Jackson and making sure Conrad Murray, is put a way in jail. Michael Jackson would hate you fans, for bashing on his family so stop all this crap, and quit complaining about what his family says or does in the public. They are none, of your business. These blogs here, are kinda stupid for you ppl to involve the Jackson family, and criticizing MJ’s family. While this should be about getting justice for Michael, and not bringing up the Jacksons and personal lives and blaming them for everything since Michael has passed away. Why care so much, about Michael and his ugly kids. Those kids, aren’t really his you ppl should know that. They are white kids, not black. They belong to Debbie Rowe, and another man who she had those two kids from. Get over the shit, about the Jacksons and their personal live. Let. them do whatever want. Michael Jackson, was their son and brother and father to them.
